CAST

OSCAR WILSON

role: Greg samourzakus

What I really loved about this project was the feeling of personal investment from the writing and directing team. They were excited about getting these characters right and that made me excited. I enjoyed playing the role of ‘Sam’ perhaps because I see a lot of my self in him. He has a strong sense of who he wants to be but finds it hard to take his life seriously. He’s drawn to the person who ends up challenging him, a gift I’m familiar with receiving.

ROLE: anne farrell

In creating the character of CADET Farrell, I found myself becoming very engaged in the world of West Point. It's a place among many that breaches the immense step of developing individuals who protect our country. When researching what attending the school entails, I realized how much this intense training from an early age is overlooked. I was awoken and enveloped into the process that produces the athletic, brave, and beautiful people I see who are ready to protect and serve.

ROLE: KEVIN PORCH

PORCH existed in a time when certain ideas about right and wrong were different than today. He believes women are destroying tradition and the core values of the institution. He values discipline, strength, loyalty, and valor and is committed to instilling those values in the younger generation of cadets.

Working with Alyssa and the other cast members was so rewarding. Everyone brought Dave's words to life in unique ways. I walked away from that project wishing more of my projects were like it and being grateful for the opportunity to bring this story to life.

ROLE: CADET CRANE

I will jump at ANY opportunity to work with dedicated and passionate industry professionals, and I'm beyond thankful for my experience while filming THE LAND I ONCE KNEW. Even though this is the teaser, the story and character relationships were fully developed and I would love to see how far this production can go. It is always intriguing to get a look at specific experiences Army cadets went through especially during a time of major political and social change.

ROLE: CADET BRIGHTMAN

This was a great experience getting to work with the talented cast of The Land I Once Knew. Alyssa is a very hands-on director and I could tell she has a passion for this project. The crew definitely knew what they were doing and it made the shoot run frictionless. As always, I enjoy doing what I love and doing it well.
